How do I book a shoot?

Will my photos be viewable on the internet?
Not unless you want them to be! Your photos are private to you alone. If I ever want to feature an exceptional image in my portfolio, I’ll ask your explicit permission first.
But boudoir photography is only for women, right?
No way! Who You Are Boudoir works with absolutely anyone, regardless of gender expression. Everyone deserves to feel sexy, and I’ll make sure you do!
Aren’t I too old (or too heavy, or too thin, or too tall, or too short or too anything) to get boudoir pictures?
No! Every body is worth celebrating. Before the shoot, we’ll talk about what you love about yourself and what makes you self-conscious, and I’ll coach you the whole time to highlight your favorite features.
But I should I lose some weight first, right?
I’ve struggled with my weight my whole life, so I get the urge to wait. But this style of photography celebrates the sexiness in you just as you are. No client has ever seen their photos and wished they’d lost weight first. They usually say, “Why did I wait so long?” Don’t let this excuse stop you!
I don’t like my blemishes (or stretch marks, or cellulite). Will you photoshop me?
I shoot in natural light with barely-there editing. I’m happy to touch up a day-of breakout, but I discourage heavy retouching. The photos clients love most are the ones where they recognize the person in the mirror. You’re breathtaking as you are!
I’m just not photogenic, even fully dressed. Why would I like these photos more?
In everyday photos, bad lighting, unfortunate angles, forced smiles, and awkward pressure all work against you. In a session, we control all of that. I’ve got your back!
Do I do my own hair and makeup?
We’ve got you covered! A hair and makeup pro is included with any standard shoot at no extra cost.
Do I choose outfits from your selection or should I provide my own?
Yes. I work with so many body types and gender expressions that I don’t provide wardrobe. Bring more outfits than we’ll have time for. Once you book, I’ll send a guide so you’re not reinventing the wheel.
Lingerie makes me uncomfortable. Do I have to wear it?
Absolutely not! A baggy t-shirt or full-length pjs can be just as sexy. Shooting for a partner? Try borrowing a favorite jersey, tie, belt, or pair of shoes to make the photos personal.
Do I have to get naked?
Not at all. Some people feel powerful showing skin; others feel the same in something more demure. Both are great. We’ll talk through your comfort level beforehand, and I’ll check in constantly. Comfort levels can shift mid-shoot, and that’s okay!
I’ve never modeled. Won’t I be bad at it?
Most of my clients have never posed for a photographer! I’ll help with outfits, poses, and details, and coach you throughout. No experience needed.
Where do the shoots take place?
We can shoot in a fromal studio setting, but we don’t have to. By request, I can also shoot at your home, a hotel, or outdoors (where legally permitted).
Can I bring a friend to my shoot?
One-on-one sessions usually yield stronger results. If a friend makes you more comfortable, ask yourself: Will they be a cheerleader? Bring upbeat energy? Quietly observe without directing? If any answer is “no,” you can still bring them. There’s a waiting area and plenty of nearby coffee shops.
What type of printed media and products do you offer?
Frame and wall-size prints, including canvas and metal, plus several album collections that make AMAZING gifts for partners. See my pricing page for everything.

Can I wait to see my photos before I decide what products to buy?
Absolutely! All of my pricing is a la carte, so you only buy what you want!
I need these done fast! Can you make a short deadline?
Almost certainly! Tell me at booking. Digitals can be quick with notice, and albums and prints can usually be rushed with expedited shipping fees.
Will I be able to see/purchase ALL of the pictures taken during my shoot?
No. We’ll take hundreds, even thousands of images, and many will have blinks, focus issues, or are just lead-ups to the perfect moment. I’ll select only the finest, usually fewer than 90, to edit and present to you.
My partner(s) and I would like to do an intimate shoot. Do you offer shoots with multiple subjects?
Yes! There is an additional per-person fee, but otherwise pricing remains the same.
